I know that alot of my son's reason for failing 6th grade is worrying about girls and not about his school work. I really feel that putting him in a all boys school will help him.   • I have a 13 year old daughter who is wanting to go to a boarding school to help her improve herself in a way she doesnt feel she is getting at home and in a public school. She wants a change and thinks this is it. We have a limited income but I want to give her what she wants and to help her reach her goals. She wants to be a Pharmisist and get help with her social skills and activities. If anyone has any ideas or knows of any good boarding schools in the California area please let me know.   • There are some excellent boarding schools in California. Cate School near Santa Barbara and Thacher School in Ojai are actually two of the best boarding schools in the country. They both have large endowments which enables them to provide financial aid to students if necessary. Admission is VERY competitive.   • I have a 13 year old son who feels can do as he feel when he wants too. We have been through many channels of help for my son and nothing has worked for him he's in the eighth grade and has no respect for his teachers or I as his mother I know that i have no where else to turn and I want to get help for my son before ho continues to go down the wrong path in life...A boarding school is very much our last option to get him the help that he needs..   • Good morning, I am a single parent of two. My daughter is 21 and she doesnt help me at all. My son is 11 and his father always pushes him off and that gives my son the idea that his father doesnt care. I came from a dysfunctional family where there was neglect and abuse so my family isnt capable of taking care of my son. I'm going out of my mind trying to find people plead with people to allow my son to stay with them and play with their children. I work at night and most of the time I do over time and when I get home I'm very tired. Would you please send me information on boarding schools that are affordable for me.   • i am looking for a boarding high school for my 16 year-old son, whom had failed school last year. he just starting totally misbehave and lost interest in school since he hangs out with a group of new friends. i want to remove him away from this group by putting him in a boarding school even though he rejects and refuses to go. what is the procedure for applying some kind of grant as his father does not want to pay his share. i can afford to pay half of the tuition, but cannot afford to pay the entire amount. any advice is greatly appreciated. jen jenny, July 3, 2010 7:02 PM

  • Hello, I am in desperate need to save my only son from destruction. Low self esteem, given up on school , wrong company and getting in trouble. I am so concern because he is about to turn 18 and I don't have any money to help him. The job I had downsized and took my job away due to the economy. I want to work if it is even cleaning house or doing a live in job but I cant do so before I get him into a program. Can you help me. I promise I will do whatever it takes to pay whatever I need to. I can get a sleep in job but I cant do that with him in the house and out in the street to be lost. Please help me and I a very honest person and I will try my very best to pay.   • Hello, I would like to get some info about financial aid for boarding schools. My 17 years old son is at the theuraputic boarding school. It's been almost a year. I had a hard time to find a affordable loan, so I found a family who helped me with payment. Unfortunately, my son needs to stay 1 additional month. I still pay the current loan and cannot afford another $4,990( monthly fee). I'd be greatful if i can find any sources where to apply for a loan. I would love my son complete the full program, the school doesn't offer an affordable payment plan. Thank you very much. I hope, in one day, my kid will realize what I am going through and how hard it is to find money (no matter how much) just to save your child and give him a bright future.   • I have a 16 year old that wants to finish her high school education in a boarding school but we are paying for our other daughter's collage which is not cheap by any means. Also my husband wishes to send her to an all girls school so he can be sure she is not getting into trouble, not that she does, she's a shy quiet child.
