Cardigan Mountain School's Coed Summer Session Combines Seriousness & Fun for Elementary & Middle School Students

Summer 2009 marks Cardigan Mountain School's 58th summer program. While Cardigan's academic year is all boys, the school's summer program is coed.

In Part II of our conversation with Cardigan's Ryan Feeley, Director of the Summer Session, and Brian Beale, Associate Director of Admission, we learn how the school combines academics and camp into a 5.5 week program for students in grades 3-9.

Students attend classes for enrichment and skill building in the morning and participate in recreational camp activities in the afternoon and evening. Cardigan works with each family to design a program that supports the growth of each student.

  • My son is a rising fifth grader with ADD. He went to cardigan this summer as a day student and had a great time. The staff was hugely attentive and supportive. There was a wide variety of activity choices. Day students were completely incorporated into the camp and encouraged to participate on evenings and weekends. Fabulous experience. He will definitely go back! Anonymous, August 10, 2011 3:16 PM
