Before many well known actors and actresses saw their name in lights, many participated in their high school arts programs. In fact, some independent schools provide a pre-professional training in the arts coupled with a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum; while others provide access to a variety of theater arts experiences.

It can be argued that there is no higher honor in Hollywood than to win or to be nominated for an Academy Award. For these actors and actresses, their path to the red carpet went through boarding school.
