Belmont, MA – December 19, 2007- onBoarding Schools is the first boarding school blog dedicated to boarding school admission, community, and issues, thought, and commentary surrounding boarding schools. onBoarding Schools will be one of the resources available at AdmisssionsQuest - www.admissionsquest.com.

Contributing authors bring a wide range of experiences and perspectives. Our authors will observe and think about boarding school admission processes, the role of boarding schools in America, how boarding schools work, what makes boarding schools unique and special, where boarding schools are headed and many other issues regarding how these small institutions fit-in and contribute to American education.

Marylou Marcus
Marylou is an educational consultant affiliated with AdmissionsQuest Educational Consulting. Her 35 years in independent schools as a teacher, advisor, admission director and financial aid officer provide insight and perspective when looking at a school. Her contributions center around impressions and thoughts about visiting schools.

Peter Baron
Peter attended Brewster Academy and worked in boarding schools. He founded AdmissionsQuest in 1999. Peter’s contributions focus on the role the web plays in connecting families and schools.

Brian Fisher
Brian is an AQ principal. He attended both public and private schools as student and has served in a variety of capacities in boarding schools- teacher, dormitory parent, coach, dean, admission, and head chef. He travels each spring as an admission representative for Wolfeboro, The Summer Boarding School. His contributions broadly observe education, education trends, and how boarding schools fit into the grand scheme of things.
