k cook, how could your son get accepted into 3 top notch schools in NH? first off you have to take the ssat thats mandatory then secondly admission decisions do not come out until March 10 for all students. So you are telling me they gave you an on the spot decision? Please nobody knows if they are accepted until March 10 and thats all boarding schools across the country. And my daughter scored the same score as your son at age 10. my daughter is 11 in 8th grade but taking 11th grade classes in public high school so the same top notch schools flew all the way to indiana to see her and want her to but we all know acceptance letters for boarding schools dont come out until 3/10 period!!!!!

Hi, I am a mother of two boys 11 and 15. I am a Katrina survivor relocated to Texas. Prior to the storm my sons attended Private school and since then has been in the Public System. Since, 2005 they have asked to return to Private School, but my finances would not allow me to pay the tuition. It is my desire to give them back a Christian Private School education, but wanted to know if there is assistance anywhere that could help with the tuition. If you have any information, I would certainly appreciate receit it. Thank you.

I am searching for a program to pay for my 3 kids private school education. Both my husband and I work but that just covers the bills. We are needing help to get over the hump of the tuition cost for private school to enable them to obtain the best education possible. They are in elementary and middle school now.

Hi, my daughter is currently atteneding a local private school. My job was discontinued over a year ago and I have taken a job that pays about 50% less than I was making when my daughter started school. I want to ensure that she gets the best education available. I would like to keep her in private school, but I cannot afford to with my current salary. I have only found one scholarship in our area for the elemenatery level. 2009/2010 enrollment has begun and I am desperately seeking assistance! Thank you in advance for any scholarship information that you can provide. Catheryn

IT"S CALLLED PUBLIC SCHOOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of you think your kids are so amazing when there probably not. And you can get a perfectly good education at a public school. If you can't afford it, don't do it. This is why are country has so much debt, people spending money on things they can't afford.
By La'Tice on March 25, 2009 5:52 AM
Sometimes we as parents has to whats best for our kids....this is to Florence,,well Florence how about me and mine, we live in Detroit....you all know and have be hearing whats be going on in Detroit. The people here have stole our childrens money for school and now we are in a huge debt...they are now causing our children here to suffer by closing all the Detroit public schools...so my husband and i have no choice but to do whats best for or 4 boys.... and that is to send them to private school...and I for one is not ashame because all 3 of my older children have made the grades and deserve to go and if that means that if we as a family has to eat sandwiches ( not Peanut butter of course) than as a family thats what we will do....so many people have messed up others life with there greed and have left others to do what they have to do ( the right thing of course) to survive in this world.

Florence: If you think you can get a decent education at public schools, then you must live in a state with very good public schools. Unfortunately, there are quite a few states with horrible education systems.
By melba on March 27, 2009 6:50 PM
I am a single parent of a 14 year old. I do not feel that public schools can offer him the education that he needs to succeed in life. He attends a private Christian school that requires the best from all of the students. I am seeking information on where I can recieve financial assistance to help with his tuition.
By Rosie on March 29, 2009 7:47 AM
Hey Florence If you are trying to prove that public school provide a good education you went about it the wrong way. Example of how public school failed you: "All of you think your kids are so amazing when there probably not." There in this sentence should be spelled they're. "This is why are country has so much debt," This should be "this is why OUR country." Also you never start a sentence with "AND" You just prove why people are getting their children out of public school. You are taking more resources from the government by going to public school, who do you think pay all those teachers, supplies, sometimes lunch for your kids at the public school(That's right the government and other people's taxes). I have attended both public and private school in the US and swore that my children will never set foot in a public school. (By the way my 13 years old sister in private school corrected your mistakes)

I have just begun reseaching private schools for my daugjhter. She is currently at Montessri Academy in Pre-school. I would like her to attend private school through her entire education. How do I get a scholarship or grant for her? Can I pick any school? When is the deadline?
By mary Leahy on April 21, 2009 4:17 PM
okay, I was reading what florence said, and she is totally wrong, I'm applying for boarding school and my parents can't pay for the tuition, and I'm applying because public school isn't helping. sure some public schools may be great, but most suck. at my school: -the teachers have no idea what they're talking about. - and there's 40 kids to a class. so, you obviously know nothing.

Hello, I am very interested in getting some financial aid for for my daughter to attend private school in Miami. She currently attends a private school and things didn't go so well. The teachers are so far from where they should be. They are very young and want to be the students friends instead of teachers. They can't teach or discipline. The administration refuses to intervene. Meanwhile I am paying $500 dollars a month. If I could get some financial aid I would send my kid to a better school. If anyone can help me because my child has potential but she's not in the right setting. Please Help a single mother in Miami. Thanks.
