Torrey McMillan, Chair of White Mountain School's Sustainability Studies Department

Torrey McMillan, chair of White Mountain School's Sustainability Studies Department, talks with the Boarding School Podcast about the department's origins and its role as a featured experience in every White Mountain student's education.

The board initiated, five year old program requires every student to complete a theoretical course and an action course within the sustainability curriculum. Woven through the White Mountain School curriculum, the program strives to give every student an entry into sustainability- its practical, economic, social, and environmental thinking- through an area that interests them.
