Bement School Names Christopher Wilson New Head

Chris Wilson, incoming Bement head of school

Chris Wilson will begin his tenure as Bement’s ninth head of school July 1, 2016. Wilson will come to Bement from Esperanza Academy in Lawrence, Massachusetts, a grade 5-8 girls middle school, where is the sitting head of school.

A cheer went up from the crowd of faculty, staff, and students at during the school announcing Wilson’s appointment.

Learning of his appointment Wilson said, “From the vibrant community, to the excellent faculty, to the warm and welcoming spirit we encountered during our several visits to campus, The Bement School just feels like home. Stephanie and I are thrilled to be joining the Bement community, and we look forward to living and learning with you all for years to come.”

Wilson takes over from interim head Frank Henry and Shelley Borror Jackson, who, after sixteen years at Bement, left to become the founding head of the New York International School.

Brian Fisher

A product of both private and public education, Brian Fisher served as a teacher, coach, dorm parent, and administrator at three different boarding schools. Brian also fills the role of Director of Development at Wolfeboro, The Summer Boarding School, in NH along with being a partner at AdmissionsQuest.
