Many readers have been weighing their boarding school acceptances for the past few weeks.

Which boarding school will be best for me? Which boarding school best fits our student?

You’ve been thinking; been writing; asking questions; considering financial aid awards; if you had the opportunity, you might have attended an accepted student revisit day, or overnight.

All of this in an effort to reach the best decision about the school that will fit you the best.

It’s hard...I offer this advice:
Nothing will be perfect. You will discover the dust bunnies in the corners of any school you choose.

I always go back to process. If you haven’t yet, make sure you create a process or framework through which you will make your decision.
I suggest a school decision process in our article, The Admission Process: Decision Time!

My process might not fit you perfectly. Adjust it. Add what you need; remove what you don’t need.

A few important things to remember:

Each school that accepted you believes that you will do well there. The question is which school fits you best?

School buildings and grounds are beautiful. But, in the end, the people and the school community will have the most lasting effects on you.

As the admission and financial aid processes conclude, act responsibly. Schools will treat you fairly and with respect. Do the same with them.
