Catching up on e-mail and events from the holidays, I see that Shattuck-St. Mary’s won the World Sports School Challenge hockey title.
S-SM defeated Okanagan Hockey Academy 8-1 thumping in the Prep division final.
“I thought we came out real strong in the first 10 minutes of the game and set the pace and held it for the whole 60 minutes,” Shattuck head coach Tom Ward told the Calgary Sun.
Shattuck-St. Mary’s has won the tournament each of its first three years.
The World Sport School Challenge was developed in line with Hockey Canada’s commitment to foster its growing relationship with sport schools and give students attending sport schools the chance to play at a higher level, including against national under-17 teams.
