2013 NEPSAC Boys Basketball and Hockey Championships

In all the years that I’ve been following the New England Prep School basketball and hockey tournaments at a distance, this year’s coverage is the easiest to find and best yet.

Now on to some quick congratulations to AdmissionsQuest schools who participated in the finals, and/or won their respective winter championship tournaments- Cushing, Brooks, Kents Hill, St. Thomas More.

In Boys Ice Hockey

Martin-Earl Division- Cushing Academy defeated Avon Old Farms 1- 0 to win the Martin-Earl championship.

Piatelli-Simmons- Brooks beat Kents Hill 4-1.

(Martin-Earl is the old large school, division 1: Piatelli-Simmons is the old small school division 2.)

In Boys Basketball

Class A- Phillips Exeter beat Choate Rosemary Hall 58-47

Class AA- Cushing squeaked by St. Andrews School 61-60.

Class AAA- Brewster needed overtime to beat St. Thomas More 77-75.
