What Should I Bring to School?
I recently answered the question in our Answers forum so that- and the fact that it’s late-August- must be my clues that it’s time for a brief talk about what to bring to boarding school.
What should you bring to school?
NOT TOO MUCH.
Paraphrasing my answer to a questioner on the matter- one goal in going to boarding school should be to live practically and simply. You can’t do that with a room full of stuff.
Take your school’s recommendations of what to bring seriously. No one knows more about what you need; don’t buy seasonal clothes before experiencing the environment. The environment and climate will tell you what you need.
