Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School Appoints Anthony Sgro 10th Head
Anthony Sgro, who holds a Ed.D from the University of Pennsylvania, comes to Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School from a twelve year tenure at Woodbury Forest (VA) where he concluded as assistant head and dean of students.
His Woodbury Forest, and personal experiences, evince a deep, wide understanding, as well as a commitment to, boarding school.
Sgro has worked in positions ranging from teaching and dorm parenting to admission, marketing, and external relations and he is a graduate of the Asheville School (NC).
Of his commitment to Rabun Gap, Sgro commented:
“It is with great enthusiasm and joy that I accept the opportunity to serve Rabun Gap, a school steeped in noble tradition and positioned for greatness. From my first visit to campus, my family and I have been struck by the authenticity and caring that thrives alongside a commitment to exceptional academics, arts, athletics, and additional enriching activities. A product of both private and public education, Brian Fisher served as a teacher, coach, dorm parent, and administrator at three different boarding schools. Brian also fills the role of Director of Development at Wolfeboro, The Summer Boarding School, in NH along with being a partner at AdmissionsQuest.
