Kents Hill School Names Jeremy LaCasse 18th Head of SchoolThis marks the second head of school appointment this month that we’ve had the privilege to share.

Kents Hill School trustees announced the appointment of Jeremy LaCasse to succeed retiring head Rist Bonnefond this coming June.

LaCasse brings a career and experiences steeped in boarding schools to Kents Hill.

A Berkshire School alumnus, he returned to Berkshire to begin his teaching career. His other appointments include serving as the dean of students at Fountain Valley School and head of the Senior School at Shady Side. LaCasse also serves on the The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) board of directors.

LaCasse holds an AB in History from Bowdin and a Masters of Arts degree in Educational Administration from the Klingenstein Center at Teachers College Columbia University.

Steve Akin, President, of the Kents Hill Board of Trustees, Kents Hill wrote in a letter to the school community:

“…We are fortunate to have a person of Jeremy LaCasse’s character, leadership, and experience to succeed Rist Bonnefond, who has led the Kents Hill community with distinction for the past 21 years…”

Kents Hill found a native ‘Mainer’ and boarding school lifer.
