An Educational Consultant’s Notes on The Gunnery
A vibrant and dynamic co-ed boarding school, The Gunnery is a community of 270 students in Washington, CT where students form rich relationships with both faculty and their peers.
The school features traditional beliefs, challenging academics, competitive athletics, and inspiring arts. A Gunnery student’s experiences are all encompassing.
The Gunnery students I spoke with expressed an appreciation for the school community and the variety of experiences that they’ve lived during their time at the school. It struck me how excited the student’s were not only to succeed on day-to-day basis, but in life in general. Impressive.
Simply put, I saw lots of school spirit and the kids were happy and busy.
One last note, The Gunnery hopes to add the International Baccalaureate (IB) program in 2012. I believe this would make them the second boarding school in New England & first in Connecticut to offer the IB.
