Five Years of Planing Culminates In New Future and Plan For SSATB
Working to focus and best serve particular mission areas of independent schools, SSAT announced the establishment of the Consortium for Independent Education (CIE).
The CIE will create focused bodies to serve and reflect the increasingly complex missions and market demands of independent schools and their families.
Five service groups will comprise the the CIE:
The Admission Organization (TAO) – education and support for professionals
Princeton Institute for Educational Research (PIER) – research and services for schools
Selective School Admission Services (SSAS) – services for families
Selective School Admission Test-Global (SSAT-G) – assessments throughout the world
Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) – assessments in North America
The SSAT Board of Directors has been considering the mission and focus of their organization since the 1980’s. These changes represent the realization of a plan and blueprint for the future.
We first learned about these changes through Mark Sklarow’s blog at IECA.
