t. Andrew’s-Sewanee Announces Scholarships for Leadership, Academics & ServiceSt. Andrews-Sewanee School (Sewanee, TN) offers a great opportunity for highly qualified students considering a boarding school education.

Under the Claiborne Scholars program, St. Andrews-Sewanee has available merit scholarships (1/2-1/4 tuition) available to new boarding 9th & 10th grade students.

Qualifying students are chosen on the basis of “a strong academic record and exhibit leadership qualities that reflect a sense of honor and a commitment to serving the community. ” Claiborne Scholars is a merit based program ” open to all families, including those who would not qualify for need-based aid..” (SA-S)

“The Claiborne Scholars program is named in honor of Archdeacon William Sterling Claiborne, whose lifetime of service included providing education and health care in the areas surrounding Sewanee.     It is my dream to go to a boarding school. I consider myself a good student, since i have an A+ average and I’m also involved in clubs and sports in my school. However, my parents cant afford a boardin school for me. I’ve reaseached many of them, but all they have are financial plans, not scholarships based on grades and so on. I’d like to know if there’s any way for me to get a scholarship in a boarding school by taking some sort of test or something?
