From Canada to India-Sedbergh Students Blog at 2009 Round Square Conference

| October 02, 2009

Their bags are packed and there are four very excited Sedbergh Students and one Faculty member who are about to embark on an adventure and cultural experience of a lifetime. For Hayden, Bronwyn, Christopher, Kiara and Mr. Parkes this adventure begins as they depart for India and the 2009 Round Square Conference.

Round Square is an international organization of 70 schools from around that world that promotes the development of "Committed, responsible global citizens".  This is accomplished through a variety of initiatives such as exchange programs between member schools, GAP year positions, humanitarian projects and bringing members together at conferences like the one being held in India.

The 2009 conference takes place from October 10th to the 16th and will bring together students, teachers and school administrators from all over world. During this time, the Sedbergh representatives will have the opportunity to interact with other round square members , all while celebrating the common ideals of the organization.

The Sedbergh contingent head for the airport today to begin their voyage and their entire trip will be chronicled in blog format to be shared with the world (A pre-conference tour will take them to major cultural sites through India). Photos, comments, stories and maybe even video will be made available to convey their experiences during their travel.  You can read the student Bios and their initial postings by visiting Be sure to check back regularly to read all about their travels.
