Blog Action Day provides a great opportunity for environmental club members, schools participating in the Green Cup Challenge, and individual students to unite- bringing their voices and perspectives together for a day dedicated to calling attention to climate change.

Climate change affects us all and it threatens more than the environment. It threatens to cause famine, flooding, war, and millions of refugees.

Given the urgency of the issue of climate change and the upcoming international climate negotiations in Copenhagen this December, we think the blogosphere has the unique opportunity to mobilize millions of people around expressing support for finding a sustainable solution to the climate crisis.”

Blog Action Day is annual event that aims to unite bloggers worldwide on single globally important issue on the same day- a single worldwide topic addressed on the same day from a variety of angles- in order to create discussion and discourse.
