Everyday Heroes

Asheville School alumnus Eric Weigel and current sixth former (12th grade) Elliot Wells, demonstrated the seriousness and dedication to which we all aspire and that we hope to never have to practice.

The two rescued a 3 1/2 year old while working as lifeguards- pulling her from the pool, performing CPR and summoning EMS.

“…Within a few seconds the lifeguards were able to clear her airway and she began breathing on her own. These community heroes were able to use their training to save the little girls’ life from ending too soon…”

Very nice. We just met another boarding school family today – they were visiting from Florida. And, I have to say, some of the nicest kids you’d ever want to meet come out of boarding schools. The family we talked to couldn’t stop talking about the discipline and hard work and enthusiasm they saw out of their daughter after two years in school.

Eric and Elliot are fine examples of students, and I’m sure their parents must be proud
