Announcing AdmissionsQuest for the Best Student Video Contest!

AdmissionsQuest for the Best Student Video!Big day here at AdmissionsQuest! Today we launched the site for our new video contest:

AdmissionsQuest for the Best Student Video

It’s open to all prep schools in the US & Canada.

The contest represents a great opportunity for students to produce short, 2 minute videos capturing school spirit.

The challenge? Tell the world what makes their school great and why they should come.

Quickly, here’s how the contest works:

Students post their videos at the contest website from September 15 to November 15.

No limit to the number of videos from each school.

From November 16-December 4, the online audience will vote for their favorite videos on the AdmissionsQuest for The Best Student Video site- choosing the five semifinalists.

Contest judges will choose a Grand Prize winner, First runner-up, and three Honorable Mention videos.

Winners will be announced December 10, 2009.

The winning student receives a $500 prize and AdmissionsQuest will match that with a $500 donation in the student’s name to the winning school’s annual fund.

The runner up will received a $250 prize along with a matching contribution in the student’s name to his/her school’s annual fund.

Participating students must be at least 13 years of age or older. Visit the contest site for contest requirments.

I want to thank our contest judges- Liza Fisher Norman, Turnaround Marketing; Reynolds-Anthony Harris, TADS; Carolyn Hines, Aspen Country Day; Brian Reynolds, Worcester Academy ‘09, Northeastern University; and Travis Warren, WhippleHill Communications – & our contest sponsors WhippleHill Communications, TADS, edSocialMedia & Proof for their support in making this event possible.

Do us a favor, if you’re connected with a prep school, please share this post & the video site with your communication office, your admission office, your video teachers and members of the faculty who can best support student filmmakers.

I appreciate your help in spreading the word.

I’m excited to start seeing student videos flying in next month!
