Former Kimball Union Academy & Brewster Academy Athletic Director Bill Pottle received the NEPSAC Distinguished Service Award in mid-December. “The NEPSAC Distinguished Service Award is given annually to the individual who has contributed significantly to New England Independent School Athletics and Physical Education through enthusiasm, dedication, leadership and vision.” Bill is easily one of the top two administrators that I worked with.

    Brian, thanks for noting Mr. Pottle’s award.
    I have fond memories of Mr. Pottle (don’t recall the ‘Grizz’ nickname mentioned in the piece… must be a KUA thing… so I’ll stick w/the formal salutation) from my days at BA- from playing pick up in the gym on a Saturday night w/him (he was a beast under the boards btw) and other students & faculty to dunking on his 8ft backyard hoop. He gave so much to the community and I’m glad NEPSAC recognized his work.
