Creating a website for a boys military schools is reaching out not only into the community but through other parts of the state. It is true that Fork Union Military Academy is one of the best military school and need to outreach other state to know what are their capabilities and capacity to accommodate your teen to be in a military school.

There is no true way to express the changes that take place in a young man’s life as he finishes being his parent’s Son and begins being a societal member and eventual leader. Fork Union is represented in the matriculating class of the service academies, the first round of the NFL, the space program, doctors, lawyers, leaders around the world. FUMA will not make you a better person but, there you will be exposed to the tools which can be utilized to bring out the best in you! It is the place where leaders and innovators are forged, the change in each young man is supercharged. Not everyone leaving there does great things but we are ALL given the keys to greatness.
Singularly the best decision I have ever made – attending FUMA.

I attended FUMA for four years and graduated in 1983. My Father attended in 1955, and to this day, he credits his accomplishments and I credit mine to Fork Union. I try to attend every year for alumni day, and just attended my 25th reunion in May 2008. Boy, how time flies!
I can honestly say that the friends you make while attending, faculty and cadets, will last forever. I still keep in touch with and spend time with most of my friends, and consider several of them as “brothers”.
If anyone reading this is considering attending, take my word, it’s tough, and at times you will wonder why you are there, but in time, like a good crossword puzzle, it all comes together, and you will look back and realize that it was one of the best experiences of your life! Hurah FUMA!

Having lost my father at an early age, it was my wish to attend a military academy. My family and I started a search which included academies throughout the nation and Fork Union
was chosen above all.
I found a school steeped in tradition,administered by the finest
educators with a strong emphasis on building the mind, body and spirit of each member of the corp of cadets.
It was truly an honor and privilege to have had the opportunity to attend.

My son has attended Fork Union for the past 2 years………………
The Academy is the best of everything, too much to say for a blog.
In summary it’s a little bit of basic training, in a safe college & moral environment. From my perspective, it’s a mini- WestPoint.

Fuma web site I couldn’t survie without. even this summer I’ve gone on often. Fourm 411 wish more used site. Last years growth in son was wonderful, to indepent getting use to. Pesonsonal thanks to all middle school staff, he always had great things to say. his growth in Christ is awesome beyond what I’d expect. We both look forward to upcoming year.

This is indicative of FUMA….a very professionally operated prep school with spiritial, academic and military training. From a coal-mining town in southwestern Virginia, Fork Union began the initial grooming for my 22 years of military service and 20 additional years as a Dept of Army Civilian. Fork Union is the primary building block in any young man’s life, no matter what his future aspirations. Thank you FUMA for my great start in life…..which continues through today. Class of ’56.
