A Notice from mr. turd
As expected, the bitter cold weather caused the harbor to freeze last night. Despite what "urban legends" that you may have heard, Tabor students should NEVER be on harbor ice, EVER.
Harbor Ice, unlike pond or bog ice, is dynamic & unpredictable - it shifts up & down with the tide and in & out with the harbor currents and does not freeze evenly (so while some places seem firm, your next step could be into the water underneath).
Furthermore, there is NO reason for any Tabor student to be on any of the Tabor docks during the winter. They are covered with snow and ice, slippery, and you enhance your chances of falling in by being on them - any of them.
If anyone has questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to stop by the Waterfront Director's Office in Hoyt.
