History

Founded in 1930, Forman School is a college-preparatory boarding and day school for bright students in grades 9-PG who learn differently. Forman delivers an unparalleled education for academically motivated students who have a language based learning disability, ADHD and/or struggle with executive functioning. Students graduate empowered to succeed in college and throughout their lives.

A Forman education is based on the knowledge that some students learn differently. Forman's teachers and learning specialists are specially trained in the science of learning and are guided by the study of attention, memory, language development, and higher order cognition. With an average class size of six and student-faculty ratio of 4:1, Forman provides an optimal learning environment for each individual student using a variety of proven instructional methods. Many students say that when they came to Forman, they felt understood for the first time in their lives.
