Notes

Darrow offers a rigorous, comprehensive, hands-on, college preparatory curriculum in a supportive environment. Darrow is distinctive amongst independent schools because of its integration of sustainability themes across the curriculum, the long standing tradition of Hands-to-Work (Darrow's weekly community stewardship program), and the belief that learning happens both in and out of the classroom. Sustainability is the concept that defines the cross-disciplinary approach of the Darrow experience. Darrow faculty work to develop students into conscientious citizens and leaders. At Darrow students gain confidence to express themselves and others in a positive manner. These features all contribute to our distinctive community. Our students flourish because of our small, close-knit community and unique approach to teaching.

Considering Financial Aid?

Schools administer their financial aid individually. The keys to seeking financial aid are:

  1. Planning, including dedicating time to sit-down and work through the paperwork and process
  2. Communicating with the admission and financial aid officers at the school
  3. Completing the paperwork and forms early and accurately (forms and paperwork can differ between schools)
  4. Meeting the financial aid deadline (it's early).
