Notes

Cheshire Academy is a community within a community, close to large cities, yet suburban enough that students feel comfortable on- and off-campus. At Cheshire Academy, you will find a dynamic, friendly student body. On the fields, in the classrooms, and throughout the dormitories, our students build lasting relationships with friends from across the country and around the world. Students, teachers, coaches, and parents combine their diverse talents to create a learning and living environment that honors the differences in all of us. Within that close-knit community, our students come to recognize their own promise and potential. Our history includes women and men who changed the course of world events because they stood up for who they are, and we’re proud they learned to do that here. One recent graduate explained, “What really matters in high school is that students find their own spark. In an environment like Cheshire, where students can expand themselves in ways they wouldn’t expect – that’s where growing happens.” While our past makes us one of the nation’s oldest schools, our curriculum encourages intellectual and ethical maturity for today’s global society. Faculty at Cheshire Academy use diverse, innovative teaching styles to pinpoint and enhance students’ talents.

Considering Financial Aid?

Schools administer their financial aid individually. The keys to seeking financial aid are:

  1. Planning, including dedicating time to sit-down and work through the paperwork and process
  2. Communicating with the admission and financial aid officers at the school
  3. Completing the paperwork and forms early and accurately (forms and paperwork can differ between schools)
  4. Meeting the financial aid deadline (it's early).
