History
| Linden Hall is an independent, college- preparatory boarding and day school for girls. Founded in 1746 and acclaimed as the oldest girls' boarding school in the United States, the school now ranks among the nation's best and has been continuously innovatively educating young women for over 260 years. Linden Hall is an extraordinary meeting of the timeless and the innovative, of security and growth, of nurture and challenge within a safe community where young women learn to ask questions, take risks, and develop positive self-awareness. By the careful blending of tradition, family-oriented campus life, an inspiring academic program, and excellent extra-curricular opportunities, Linden Hall prepares young women to be leaders in the 21st century. Because of the close proximity to large urban areas such as Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, and New York, Linden Hall offers 7 day boarding, as well as 5 day boarding and day school enrollment. |
