History of the School

The Williston Northampton School is the result of the merger of two strong independent schools, Williston Academy and The Northampton School for Girls. Our campus is located in Easthampton, Massachusetts, a small Western Massachusetts city just four miles from downtown Northampton, two hours from Boston, and three hours from New York City. Our location near Amherst, Hampshire, Mount Holyoke and Smith Colleges and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst provides wonderful cultural and intellectual opportunities for faculty and students.
