History of the School

Foxcroft School was founded in 1914 by Charlotte Haxall Noland, who directed the School until her retirement in 1955. Miss Charlotte, as she was called by her students, valued determination, courage, and character. She established a school that would instill in its graduates high purpose, leadership, integrity, and understanding. A new generation of faculty members and students continue this educational tradition under the leadership of Mary Louise Leipheimer, Head of School since 1989.
