Needs, not wants is the Midland motto. Since 1932, the school's philosophy is to foster a strong, lively intellect and impeccable character. The college preparatory academic program is rigorous, and the lifestyle challenging and invigorating. It is a rural community on 3,000 acres that lives together by the tenets of self-reliance, student leadership, and closeness to nature.
