The Athenian School History
"Athenian’s campus encompasses 75 acres of beautiful rolling hills and wildflowers at the base of Mt. Diablo. Just 32 miles east of San Francisco, Athenian students are easily able to take advantage of extraordinary cultural, theatrical and athletic opportunities. The Pacific Ocean and the Sierra Nevada mountains are both within a few hours’ drive.
Total enrollment is approximately 450 students, 150 in the 6th-8th grades and 300 day and boarding students in grades 9-12. Day students come to Athenian from throughout the East Bay. Boarding students from around the country and throughout the world live in two dormitories, housing approximately 20 students each. Students from outside the U.S. benefit from the International Student Program. " (The Athenian School, 9/2008) |
