Marianapolis Preparatory School History
| Marianapolis was established in 1926 under the sponsorship of the Congregation of Marians of the Immaculate Conception. Marianapolis is a Catholic school that is inclusive of all faiths. Spirituality is the foundation for a compassionate, sensitive, and giving person. Our school community fosters respect for others, appreciation of diversity, and community service. Marianapolis challenges its young women and men to extend themselves – both spiritually and intellectually – and provides an environment where they can grow into mature, self-directed adults of vision and purpose. In 2001, the Trinity Foundation (a group of parents, alumni, and friends) assumed governance of the school, naming Marilyn Ebbitt Headmistress, while the Marian Fathers and Brothers retained ownership. The Trinity Foundation finalized the purchase of the school in February 2010. |
