School Profile

West Nottingham Academy History

West Nottingham Academy (WNA) is a small college-preparatory boarding and day school for grades 9-12/pg, between Baltimore and Philadelphia. Founded in 1744, WNA is the oldest boarding school in America.

With so many options, why is West Nottingham the right school for you? Well, frankly, maybe it isn’t. If you’re looking for a big school, we’re a stretch. If you’re not interested in community, then this is not the place for you. But if you’re ready to be part of a unique and challenging school that will prepare you for college and the rest of your life, then you should definitely keep reading.

At West Nottingham we love helping students who enjoy learning, being challenged and sharing their educational journey with others. You certainly don’t need to know everything, but you do have to be curious, passionate and even opinionated (sometimes). In short, we want students who take their education seriously and take it personally. Is that you?
