History of the School

New Hampton School was founded in 1821 as a Baptist-oriented, coeducational institution from 1825 to 1925, when it became a nondenominational school for boys. The school returned to coeducation in 1970. Students attending New Hampton represent 28 states and 16 foreign countries. New Hampton School is a college preparatory, coeducational boarding and day school for grades 9 - 12 as well as postgraduate students.
